With one hand on her hip and the other hand turning in an "I will make good choices" essay written out one hundred times (while her older brother was still sobbing in the corner stuck on number thirty-three, "I'm going to need to amputate my arm tomorrow after all this writing.") our conversation wasn't what I had expected. I was hoping for "I've learned my lesson and will never torment my younger sister again."
Lola: Next time you should make us write it two hundred times. Me: How come? Lola: We could use the extra penmanship practice before school starts. Me: ...
Ooooffff. School can't start soon enough, my little stinkers. There's a special place in heaven for homeschooling parents. |

My parents used to make us write out lines. I'm glad to know we weren't the only ones!
Mine have been extraordinarily BAD this summer.... I'm thinking military school.
And I totally agree with that last line!
I support your constructive disciplinary tool...you may be closer to homeschooling than you might think!
