The last time I used this blog as a microphone to ask/beg/plead for you to vote in a social media contest on my behalf, it was 2009 and my now-third-grader was just a wee little preschooler. Remember the "Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video" contest - because of your votes, my friends, we won not only a great package of area attraction tickets but more importantly we won a life long memory. My children still remember it fondly today as a time when our hard work was acknowledged, rewarded and when they got to go to a waterpark.
There are many wonderful opportunities that blogging can bring but I normally delete most of them because this blog isn't my career, it's my hobby where I drop in when I can (amidst the chaos of raising three children) and so I have to pick my battles wisely making sure that my family's needs come first before tackling another social media project. There are only so many days in the week!
Three years have passed since I've asked for your support. I'm very honored to be one of four finalist in the "family" category for the P&G Everyday "Top Tastemakers" in the "Great Try Out Contest". GAH! That's a mouthful. What does it mean? It means that with enough votes (you can vote daily via facebook here) the winner becomes a featured "expert" on P&G's Trend Trio blog where they will share their top tips to make everyday life a little easier. The winner will share frequent videos and posts on P&G's Trend Trio blog. That's it!
Do you remember how horrible my first vlog (video blog) attempt was? I'm happy to report that not much has changed and I'm still very much of a dork. Just check out my video entry for the contest on P&G Everyday facebook page. This is a super opportunity for my family and me. If you have the time or an extra day in the week, head on over to P&G Everyday on Facebook, find Pauline Karwowski in the "family" section and vote. You can vote daily! You can easily share via Facebook too!
Instructions for my parents who are over sixty years of age and social media un-savvy: when Facebook asks you, "What's on your mind?" in the status update just copy/paste/hand type this link https://www.facebook.com/PGEveryday?sk=app_400474986668124 and drop it into your status update saying "Vote for Pauline Karwowski to become a family expert! You can vote everyday until 10/3/12!!!" the link will automatically show up in your status update! Easy-peasy.
Thanks in advance, you all. Huge hugs. And huge high fives for helping me out. |
