My eight-year-old daughter has been keeping a list of things she wants for the holidays, since August. She keeps adding, erasing and highlighting things nightly. I knew she would get a kick out of eBay's new Facebook gifting app that allows children (actually anyone) to create an interactive list.

After I told her that each day, anyone who creates a gift list, will be entered for a chance to win one item off their list in the eBay Holiday Gift Shop Sweepstakes - she was SO READY to start her dream wish list that I barely had time to keep up.

I added the eBay app on Facebook (so that later I could easily share the list with family via Facebook) and she typed in her name/age/sex.

Magically a selection of toys popped up on the next screen that produced huge smiles. "How cool is this, Mama?" she squealed and pointed. (Unrelated side note: yarn around her wrist has been there ever since she discovered cat's cradle string tricks at recess. How cool is that? Remember how much fun that was?)

She dragged her choices and dropped them into her "Toy List" - a blue gift box located just next to the suggestions. It was so simple for her to do, she didn't even wait for my instructions.

Once her list was complete we were able to share it with family.

The biggest surprise was when an email popped up from "The North Pole".

She's hoping Santa brings her some new wheels for her commute to school. I'm hoping she wins the sweepstakes. Anyone who creates a gift list, for themselves or for a child, will be entered to win. Each day eBay will award an item from a lucky person's list. Entrants can also win eBay giftcards. Start your holiday list now.

Disclosure: I was hired by Splash Creative Media to write this post on behalf of eBay and (as always) all opinions are my own.
