It only took twelve extremely grueling months of paying double mortgages (we got multiple offers early on & finally sold during a bidding war - such.a.headache) without ever seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm sure the husband and I will look back at this time in our life and laugh that it was when our children discovered Ramen Noodles and developed dramatic eye rolls every-time they heard "When we sell our house in Ohio, we can..."
Jesus and Mary and Joseph, oooffff. Sold! The new owners signed the property transfer this morning and it's officially theirs.
I hope the new owners take photos of their children in-front of it, like we did, to see them grow throughout the seasons. It was supposed to be our "forever house" - the house that love built and the housee we thought we would welcome our grandchildren in. The house that our out-of-town family gathered to play kickball, on special occasions. The house that we filled with good friends every single year just to fill it with more laughter then already existed, in what we dubbed as the "kool-aid" house. We never ever planned on leaving it. It was such a good house to us. Good-bye sweet house. Tonight we celebrate a new chapter in our lives - moving onwards and trekking forward with those we love. It's a good life.
