This morning I was super excited to slip on the newest member of my shoe collection. I quickly dressed for work and was out the door at 9am - with a pair of flats in my tote, just in case I had to rip off my new leather shoes halfway through the day. I'm no rookie in the shoe department.
The classic closed-toe style wedge, in brown, paired well with just about everything in my earth toned wardrobe.
Dealing with customers, juggling management duties, restocking the store and ordering new inventory on my feet all day requires comfortable footwear. I ditched traditional stilettos a year ago and have been on the lookout for a substitute that is both fashionable and comfortable. You guys? I finally found them! Love the A-leigh Wedge that took me from 9am to 9pm.
If I look a little tired, it's because 9pm is late. I slipped them off at my desk in the middle of the day - they started getting tight across my foot like most of my leather ballet flats did at first wear; but, the footbed is super comfortable since it's made from Croc's signature Croslite material and I managed to rock these classy wedges for twelve hours today. I can't remember the last time I wore the same pair of shoes for twelve hours. It's a new record for me!
Tonight, when the kids are in bed, I'm going to stretch my leather shoes so they form to my feet. I've done this before with my beloved Tory Burch's flats for extra comfort. All you need to do is put on two or three of your thickest socks, place your feet inside the shoes and blowdry the area that is most uncomfortable with hot air for a minute. Let them cool with your feet still inside, test them out without socks and repeat process from beginning until they fit like a glove. A Needless Markup sales associate shared that little secret with me and I was amazed that it worked. Can you believe you can make comfortable shoes even more comfortable?
