Happy birthday, my love.
We can't agree on the story of how we first met but we will always remember our first date. 1998. The movie theatre in Brookfield, WI. "Great Expectations." Me rocking black pleather pants. You in an African bead necklace around your neck. How far we have come together, my love. The conversation tonight tickled me pink.
The chickadees made birthday cards:

But they really wanted to buy you a ferret. I successfully convinced them to spend 36 minutes on creating "birthday cards." Wishing you all the love in the universe on your birthday.
Your adoring wife, Pauline.
PS. Be careful with the last card, the green one, it has two tubes of dried play-doh on it.
PSS. Happy birthday to the bestest brother in the world. Two days late. We love you Uncle Mike.

Happy bday Classy Hubby!
And Happy Birthday to Uncle Mike as well. Since you don't like with OHmommy I am sure she wouldn't mind if yours was filled with ferrets, friendly ones, of course.
Thanks for your nice note the other day.
My husband didn't get a gift either...not for your husband's birthday but for my hubby's father's day...he got an IOU for an organized laundryroom closet.
Yep...that was easy....
apparently so easy that I forgot about the IOU and until I read your post.
needless to say - we still have CRAP in the closet!
