What? Am I the only housewife that snaps a photo prior to hosting a girlfriend's night out in her own home? Excited to see how the night evolves. A guest list of dear neighbors, some super cool local bloggers and old friends for an Emmy's party? Merging a melting pot of extraordinary personalities under one roof. One lawyer, three teachers, a world renowned sailor, a Russian major, a PHD in some kind of serious science that researches major things, the owner of one of the Bon Appetit top ten restaurants in the United States, just to name a few all under my humble roof? Incredible!

Ok. I guess I should get out more. Or entertain more. Because. Tonight. Was all kinds of awesome.

I prepared nothing. I picked a local bistro, "Go! Bistro," owned by Larry and Cindy Moore to cater some grub which was incredible.

I barely entertained. I called a local salon, SalonBlu, to pamper us all night long. Turns out that the adorable nail's tech was a student of mine and squealed, "Oh my, it's you" when she walked into my home (not a 8th grader anymore but a mature 21 year-old) and gave my daughters and my girlfriends all relaxing manicures while watching the Emmys.  Everyone left the party feeling fabulous.

Click on photo above to see how much fun it was!

We got massaged. We got make-up(ed). We got hair referrals. We ate and drank and laughed and talked and I  worried about the guest list and how it would be to merge my real life friends whom read my blog with my online friends that share the same hobby. And. At the end of the night I realized that I surround myself with awesome people.

Awesome people get along.

Thanks Suave for making this Emmys party rock.  We felt like movie stars all night long.  Suave at the Emmys.

I would comment about how fun and great it all looks, but I'm too busy being bitter about not getting an invitation. I have to assume it's because of your geographic discrimination. It's not my fault I don't live in a flyover state.

Looks like so much fun. i realized you were doing this from a comment on your last post and thought of you last night.

Thanks to you, I spent my morning at Club Monaco (a store I always previously walked right by) and Nordstrom getting my wardrobe up to date for Fall.

I think my invite tot he Emmy party must have gotten lost in the mail???? I'll be there nest year:)

One of our local hot spots is doing a "martini and makeover" night this thursday.....I am going and so excited to get out. This Mommy needs a BREAK!!
