Last month, one of my photos was published in Kiwi magazine! And in a few weeks another one of my photos will be published in Shape magazine!
Pinch me.
My good friend and frequent Classy Chaos commenter, Jessica, is the community relations director for Project Night Night a non-profit organization that helps homeless children by encouraging reading and family bonding through a simple tote filled with books, blankets and stuffed animals. Just about a year ago she called me, "Gah. I have no photos of myself and need one for the website. Will pay in chocolate."
Anyone that really knows me, knows that I would do just about anything for free chocolate.
Fast forward to last week. Jessica called me again, "Gah. I was interviewed for Kiwi magazine, they used your photo by the way, which led someone at Shape magazine to rip out the snazzy article and now they want an interview and more photos. Of me. And me with the kids. Will pay in chocolate."
Pinch me. Free chocolate? I am sooooo there!
Which means now, at fancy dinner parties and other social engagements I can stun people by working in, "My photographs have been published in honest-to-goodness-real-life magazines." Right? Right? Thanks Jessica for trusting me to photograph your amazing hard work.

(PS, thanks for linking the charity's site - I'm going to check it out for an article I'm writing.)
p.s. have you had the articles matted and framed yet because you SHOULD on your inspiration wall for your home office/photo studio
You and Ryan have a gift for making every photograph look like your life and the lives of those around you are drenched in sunshine and happiness.... and that really, truly is a gift, talent, and testament to your sunny personality.
