Just for fun I changed the language in my google reader. You know, to see how you look in Russian. Shut up. It's totally a normal thing to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Turns out that everything is in Russian. All of google!  Including directions on how to switch back to your original language.

In case you are curious (I will spare you the work of learning Russian on a Sunday)... you look much better in English.

Russian is a very cool language. Why do you only have one comment?

After I returned from my summer in Moskva, the only thing I could remember were the lyrics to Katusha.

Nyet, nyet, nyet.

I'd help you, but that (above) is about all I remember from my one year of Russian language in high school.

Good luck with that! ;)

on the "drop down" click the option that says "something reader". that should bring you to the reader preference page where you click the first drop down, like in the image... and choose english :)

i just tried it in my reader... going to russian first and then back to english. i was scared it wouldnt work but it did!

I'm curious...do the swear words I sometimes slip into my blog posts translate into Russian? Now knowing some Russian swear words...THAT would be cool. LOL!!

I don't think this is the way I would want to learn a new language...just saying.

Glad it's all fixed now.

I've thought about changing it to French or Spanish sometime... but I think your experiment has ended that desire for me. :)

Happy Sunday.

Did Marinka get a frantic email before you figured it all out ;-)

I never thought to switch the languages, but just did and it's quite entertaining.

That's just to weird to think about. I can just see it now - I get my browser stuck in a language I can't read or understand and then everybody starts with, "Whatever happened to Lou?"

Why thank you. I always suspected I looked better in English, but it's nice having it confirmed. :)

Haha, nicely done.

And actually, I think it's a perfectly normal thing to do. One of the kids' favorite things to do is change her DS games to shoe different languages. Her favorite is "deutsch" which she promptly pronounces "dutchess" every single time, lol.

I have to say that I laughed a little when I read that. I always thought of doing that but never thought of the repercussions!

This reminds me of the time my baby banged on my keyboard with one good hit and managed to turn the screen image sideways. It took two tech people and 45 minutes for us to undo what it took a 9 month old .4 seconds to do. There should be a children's book called Fun With Computers!
