March first PDF Print E-mail

Back in December a day after Christmas, I told Lola I wasn't ready to discuss anything about her birthday until after Fifi's party was over. Sometime in March, the month of her birthday, I explained while flipping the pages of a calendar.

On March first she attached a note to some yarn and hung it from the second floor.  Right in the direct path, at eye level, of the most trafficked area of the house.  "For my birthday I want a Barbie"  it read.

3-1-10

Taken with my BlackBerry.

It was brilliant and I was upset that I didn't think of it first.  That's my Pisces girl creatively solving her own problems.

Brilliant. I'm not a huge Barbie fan but now I really hope she gets one. She deserves it for that! :)

I have to tell you, the photo on the side bar of Fifi....I thought was her wearing some ornate piece of jewelry. Then I clicked on it and screamed! Loudly. In my own house. Far from the danger of snakes. But I still screamed and tried to bat the snake off of her. Yes, I batted at my computer.

That's a girl that knows what she wants...and plans to get it! Good for her! She will go very far in life!!!

Although..i have to laugh at how funny these notes may get as she gets older. Do you think she'll hang notes as a teenager?
"I have nothing to wear..."
"I want a new car for my 16th..."
"I'm dating a boy with a tattoo"

That is a genius solution...she's a smart, fire-y girl, isn't she. I'm guessing she's borderline Aries, no? Because that totally sounds Aries to me.

What a smartie, and an excellent problem solver. I sense law school in her future. (After she is done with all her other adventurous plans of course :) )

Very creative kid you have there. Just remember that of a creative child, as she gets older, the more creative she will be.

Your Lola is so clever and original. I was so impressed I went on and on about this post to my husband. Clearly impressed himself, and resigned to the lack of ingenuity from our 4yo he countered, "Well, Katie DID teach herself to use the XBOX"

What a smartypants you have!

I have a question for the unschoolers out there...if your child tells you they want to go to school, would you let them?

She needs that new barbie with the laptop. I think they are calling her a computer engineer. I think I would call her a blogging barbie. :)

I fully expect that one day Lola will be President of the United States...and will go down in history as THE BEST! But, for now, Smart Girl Barbie would be good. :)
