Walt Disney World 2010.  The Karwowski kiddos:

Look!  The sky is cleaner in 2010.

Yeah, I know. Never say never.  Special thanks to my mother-in-law who found Disney passports dated from 1984 and 1989.  (She also found my husband's first tooth, a blond curl tucked in an envelope, years worth of report cards and a box full of dusty Matchbox cars - all of which I'm the proud owner of. Now.)

And my three children, who are happier than pigs in mud this minute, would like to give special thanks to all the Classy Chaos commenters.   Especially Kelly C who wrote, "My Dad always thought going on ski trips or beach vacations was a waste of time. But he took us anyway, so that we could experience as much as possible." Now please excuse me... we have a parade and fireworks to catch tonight.  I might even splurge and purchase a Tinker Bell hoodie for myself.  ;)  Never say never.

Have a great time! And as long as you don't wear your tinkerbelle hoodie to take the kiddos to school I think you will be fine.

My 20 year old daughter will never forget the day we were leaving the Magic Kingdom after her first visit. She was 4 and had not seen her absolute favorite character--Dopey. In 4-year old fashion she was having a meltdown. A Disney employee stopped us, asked her what was wrong and then went backstage and brought Dopey for a visit. The Disney cast will go out of their way to make sure your vacation is a memorable one. Enjoy some Disney magic for us. And don't miss Wishes at the Kingdom or Fantasmic at the Studios. Toy Story Midway Mania is a must-do also. Pat.

I think it's great! I can't wait to hear your "after" review and am sure your kiddos are making memories that are close to ice cream in Paris :)

Because I saw some of your flickr pics, my mom took us to the fountain of youth a few years ago when we visited Jacksonville.

Let's just say it wasn't as she remembered when she was a kid.

So glad to see you made it to Orlando...again. :)

If you do decide to purchase an adult size Tinkerbell hoodie, please kindly rock it out with some amazing earrings, lip gloss, and killer jeans. Oh, one more thing...and raise your hand on this one...promise never ever to wear it for pre-school drop off.

Enjoy your family and your experience!

I don't know why - but I'm so glad you went! I love that place and I really hope you can feel the magic that is there.

Get to the parks early. go back to your resort for a mid-day break. And enjoy yourself!

Yep, we did it too. After saying we'd never go back, we took our kids last month. You know what? They had a blast. And we had a pretty good time, too.
But now, seriously, I'm NEVER going back there.
I'm glad you went, and your kids will have some wonderful memories.

So glad you went! Disney IS fun - I went when I was 12 with my family and I'm totally taking my kids when my youngest is a bit older, so he can totally have a blast. And although it's no Europe vacation, it's still a memorable, fun, totally awesome vacation that your kids -and you - will cherish forever. Seriously. I love Florida almost as much as Greece! And not just for the shopping - but for the time we spend together as a family, swimming in the ocean, relaxing in the pools, building sand castles, and just having fun. That's what it's about. Building family memories, having fun, enjoying life! Have fun all of you!

Convinced my husband to do Disney with 3 kids...it was one of the best blog fodder I've ever encountered. We saw so many feuding families, it was like a reality show. Yup, Wally brings out the best in all of us. Add a 94 degree day, and Voila! Doesn't get any better than that for people watching...

Please get the Tinkerbell hoodie. You'll smile everytime you wear it...could be kinda fun for your husband, too..

I'm itching all over with jealousy! I can't wait to hear all about it. I hope you plan on sharing where you stayed and what restaurants you eat at...so I can enjoy a Disney vacation through you. It's been a whole year since our last one and probably another year until our next. So sad for us ;)

I can't believe I got a shout out!! Yay!!! I'm so glad you went..and I can't wait to hear all about it! Even though it's not Europe, it's still a blast. I love looking at my children's faces when they meet their favorite character or ride their favorite attraction. It's the time spent as a family that matters...not necessarily your location. Happy Travels!!! (And I live in Orlando if you need any help while you are here!)

This is too funny! I was just talking about your trip philosophy with my husband yesterday saying how great it was that your children get to experience so much culture. My husband said Disneyworld IS culture and that your kids should go. Ha ha ha! I'm glad you are enjoying it!

Look at it this way -- you are still making memories with your family! Even though it doesn't sound like this trip was your first choice, you and your family certainly seem to be happily enjoying the Happiest Place on Earth in the photos. Recommendation for a great afternoon respite -- if you have a car, pack a picnic (either with WDW food or from your own off-property purchases) drive over to Celebration, FL for a great, relaxing meal on the green.

I'm so bummed we missed each other! Three days was all we could handle, and it sounds like we kept opposite schedules. I'm feeling kind of bad I opted not to haul around the big camera, too--these photos are so gorgeous!

Guess we'll have to wait for BlogHer....
