My sister, a bridesmaid ten times over, having attended a "gazillion" bachelorette parties had a never-ending list of what she didn't want for hers.  Her needs-to-have-at-bachelorette-party list was much shorter.

South Beach.

Girlfriends.

Weekend.

In a couple of hours I will be flying solo from Cleveland to Miami where I pick up my rented convertible and drive with the top down music blaring on my way to a posh hotel for a girlfriend's weekend celebrating my sister's last couple of weeks being single.  I've never had much trouble packing for a trip until now because words like "dancing"  "roof-top dining"  "pool side drinks" and "night clubs" were tossed around in emails and not at all part of my vacation vocabulary.

There will be lots of lounging around the pool and being the mom that I am (can't escape that!) I've planned for an ice breaker.  You might remember my kids loving Box Girls questions during dinner to ensure proper conversation - I fell in love with this more "adult" like concept from The Box Girls.

boxgirls

My sister might reconsider inviting such an old fart like me.  I, for one, can not wait to giggle.  Poolside.  Sans kids.  Answering some steamy questions while groping my pearls and sipping mojitos.

But, before you go all "shut the front door and stop describing your awesome weekend plans" on me, please know I have not forgotten about you girlfriends here on the Internet. I personally emailed the Box Girls company and explained that I have the best readers in the world.  I'm pretty sure they swung by to see what I was talking about because they agreed to giveaway the following to you lovelies.  I have two of each.  Four to giveaway...

boxgirls1

For you girlfriends!  A box of questions for your upcoming GNO...

boxgirls2

I wish I could pack you all in my luggage to enjoy a girl's weekend away with me but you will have to settle for a super cute giveaway.  I am truly touched everyday by your awesome comments and although life with three growing children gets in the way from responding I am constantly humbled by your support.  Thank you all for the comments on my ordinary kitchen window in my extraordinary home.

It's the simple things in life that matter most.  Like great conversations.  And amazing friendships.

But enough about me.  To enter the giveaway that expires when I land in Cleveland (this Sunday at noon EST) after my GNO weekend in Miami.  Leave a comment.  About anything.  Describe your most recent girl's night out.  What simple thing in life makes you smile most?  "What is the most annoying fashion trend?" or "theme song that would play everytime you entered the room" as stated in the Box Girls questions above.  Even if you have never commented but faithfully read (looking at you Ewa), tell me anything!  One comment per person and tweet this giveaway for a second comment (leave me the url tweet in comments below).  Open only to readers in US and Canada because I am forking over all the shipping costs.

Disclosure:  thanks to Box Girls for sending me a package full of goodies to giveaway and not deleting my email, thinking that I was totally crazy!  I'm not.  My readers rock.

Winners:  Here are your random numbers:

My last GNO was about 2 months ago. We had dinner and sat for three hours after talking. It was fabulous.
Our next GNO? Sex and the City II and dinner. We are all pumped! ;-)

Most annoying fashion trend, skinny minnies...I like fit girls and I do think that those skin and bones look good in photos I do not like to hug a friend that I think is going to break in half because of my force.

Wow... my last night out was a LONG LONG LONG dinner with my very bestest girlfriend in the whole wide world.

I left all preschoolers, toddlers and infants with daddy and giggled way too loud, laughed way too long, ate way too much and realized just why I love my friend.

Okay, my last "girls night out" was actually a "girls morning out" with my fellow DFW blogging friends at the spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dallas! It was FABULOUS and I needed it so badly. The only thing better than the massage and facial was the company.

I love your blog and posts. I guess my GNO is not "normal". Every Friday after school the neighborhood moms stroll down to the end of our street with our kids, lawn chairs, bikes, and cookies (or other fun snacks). There's an amazing park there, enclosed, where the kids can play safe and protected, and the moms can sit around and talk, giggle, and eat some good food. It is the highlight of my week every week, and I will certainly miss it this summer when we leave here and all the great friends I have made.

Have a WONDERFUL trip!

Long time reader, first time to comment...I live in Canton so I'm familiar with alot of the things you write about in Cleveland. I love your blog and your pictures (it's nice to be able to put faces with the sweet kids you talk about. I can't remember the last time I had a crazy girl's night out...not that it isn't fun, but what is MORE fun to me is hanging with my man and his two wonderful boys and all of us laughing and being silly. You just can't put a price on that! Have fun on your trip. And, for the record, it's hard to think of a theme song right off because I'm so fabulous that it has to be THE RIGHT ONE. LOL...

Awesome giveaway!

I haven't had a girls night out in a long time, since I have so few female friends near where I live now. The last one I really remember was college, a bachelorette party for my best friend that involved sitting at her apartment talking and eating pizza (with her soon to be husband in the other room, and with 9 month old that belonged to another bridesmaid toddling around. Exciting, huh?

I went twenty years without a GNO! I never went anywhere without my husband or one of the kids. (I felt guilty) Now they are old enough to handle things on there own. Last spring I planned a weekend with three girlfriends. We went to Wine Country in Niagara. Had an amazing time checking out the wineries, hiking the Penninsula, and reminising of old times and old friends. We hav emade an oath to plan a GWO at least once a year. This Spring is Frankenmouth for the Bavarian Festival. Can't wait!

My most recent GNO was our neighborhood "book exchange." We swap books, drink a lot of wine (well everyone else does since I'm 9 months pregnant), laugh ridiculously loud and spend the entire weekend recovering. The last two book exchanges have ended at 3am and 2am respectively. :)

The girls night out cards would be fabulous for our group...and if I don't win, I will definitely be checking these out for our next GNO in June.

So, my mother took me to see the Chippendales a month before my wedding and we spent the first ten minutes giggling and it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. We were ducking for cover and running out the backdoor we were blinded for life. We'd only been there 15 minutes. That is my best bachelorette party story because my real bachelorette party was very PG an involved pajamas and way too many M&Ms.

Oh, I so need a GNO and this would help so much. You made me think back to my sister's bachelorette party--we went to this bar and she had a card with various attributes of men, and had to go find someone that fit each attribute and have them sign the card. Some were simple--blue eyes, brown eyes, but then they got more complicated--boxers, briefs, condom in wallet, and some were even more embarassing (cirucumcized or not were the best).

Have fun and enjoy!

It's so sad how long it's been since my last real girls' night out because all my BFFs live many states away. But finally, this summer, after 7 straight summers of weddings, bachelorette parties, baby showers, recovering from having babies, the 7 of us are FINALLY getting together for a beach weekend -- just us. No boys. No babies. Lots of booze! These cards would be perfect. Even if I don't win, I'm going to have to find some for our weekend!

I can't remember if I commented on the kitchen window post but it definitely resonated with me. My husband and I are house hunting currently and it is funny the thugs that we notice about a place. For him, it is things like new plumbing and electric, but for me, I pick out the place where we would keep our Christmas tree. If the place isn't suitable, I just walk out. :). It really is the little things that make a house a home.

Enjoy your weekend!

P, I hope you are having an absolute blast!!! Oh what I wouldn't do for a GNO in South Beach right about now...I don't even remember when my last GNO was ... oh, maybe last July in Chicago with 1000 gals... way, way overdue for another one...

I hope you are well, sweetie.

And most annoying fashion trend right now ... harem pants... and from the past... harem pants!!! OMG, I actually wore them 1st time around, and tried a pair on for fun a couple of months ago...not so fun these days

Love Miami. And girls' weekends. That sounds fabulous.

My niece is having her Bacholorette Party in two weeks. With these cards I could be the cool aunt - and we could have a blast.

The last girls weekend was this winter, when all of my female relatives when to the lake. When the youngest group showed up, we shocked them by all sitting around in our bras. (Maybe you had to be there - the look on their faces was too funny)

And you didn't ask, but the last time I was in South Beach, I was partying with some Chemical Engineers -- ah good times....

Hey, I'm a mom of three kids, too! Girls Night? What is that? OK, I kid. I spent all of last weekend with 7 friends in the Texas Hill Country. It was wonderfully awesome. Drinking may or may not have occurred. As an aside, the last time (and only time) I have been in Miami, I was 10 weeks pregnant with #2. Not much partying going on then, but a whole lot of morning sickness puking!

My most recent girl's night out was to my girlfriend's house where 5 of us had wine, dinner and a jacuzzi!
