My sister, a bridesmaid ten times over, having attended a "gazillion" bachelorette parties had a never-ending list of what she didn't want for hers. Her needs-to-have-at-bachelorette-party list was much shorter.
South Beach.
Girlfriends.
Weekend.
In a couple of hours I will be flying solo from Cleveland to Miami where I pick up my rented convertible and drive with the top down music blaring on my way to a posh hotel for a girlfriend's weekend celebrating my sister's last couple of weeks being single. I've never had much trouble packing for a trip until now because words like "dancing" "roof-top dining" "pool side drinks" and "night clubs" were tossed around in emails and not at all part of my vacation vocabulary.
There will be lots of lounging around the pool and being the mom that I am (can't escape that!) I've planned for an ice breaker. You might remember my kids loving Box Girls questions during dinner to ensure proper conversation - I fell in love with this more "adult" like concept from The Box Girls.
My sister might reconsider inviting such an old fart like me. I, for one, can not wait to giggle. Poolside. Sans kids. Answering some steamy questions while groping my pearls and sipping mojitos.
But, before you go all "shut the front door and stop describing your awesome weekend plans" on me, please know I have not forgotten about you girlfriends here on the Internet. I personally emailed the Box Girls company and explained that I have the best readers in the world. I'm pretty sure they swung by to see what I was talking about because they agreed to giveaway the following to you lovelies. I have two of each. Four to giveaway...
For you girlfriends! A box of questions for your upcoming GNO...
I wish I could pack you all in my luggage to enjoy a girl's weekend away with me but you will have to settle for a super cute giveaway. I am truly touched everyday by your awesome comments and although life with three growing children gets in the way from responding I am constantly humbled by your support. Thank you all for the comments on my ordinary kitchen window in my extraordinary home.
It's the simple things in life that matter most. Like great conversations. And amazing friendships.
But enough about me. To enter the giveaway that expires when I land in Cleveland (this Sunday at noon EST) after my GNO weekend in Miami. Leave a comment. About anything. Describe your most recent girl's night out. What simple thing in life makes you smile most? "What is the most annoying fashion trend?" or "theme song that would play everytime you entered the room" as stated in the Box Girls questions above. Even if you have never commented but faithfully read (looking at you Ewa), tell me anything! One comment per person and tweet this giveaway for a second comment (leave me the url tweet in comments below). Open only to readers in US and Canada because I am forking over all the shipping costs.
Disclosure: thanks to Box Girls for sending me a package full of goodies to giveaway and not deleting my email, thinking that I was totally crazy! I'm not. My readers rock. Winners: Here are your random numbers: 6 - jo

My last GNO was about 2 months ago. We had dinner and sat for three hours after talking. It was fabulous.
Our next GNO? Sex and the City II and dinner. We are all pumped! ;-)
Now go and enjoy -have the best time ever -with your sister and girlfriends! See you back here when you get home!
I left all preschoolers, toddlers and infants with daddy and giggled way too loud, laughed way too long, ate way too much and realized just why I love my friend.
your thong peeking out, while your walking. sooo trashy!
Have a WONDERFUL trip!
I have a monthly GNO with 2 besties we choose a different restaurant to have dinner and try to get in a little shoping/browsing before!
Husbands are great and all but women NEED their girlfriends. I know I do!!
Have a great weekend!!!!
I love spending time with the girls. Laughing till we cry...
Today as a matter of fact a group of 13 of us is going out..all day, shopping, lunch, pedicures....NO KIDS!!! It will be heaven.
We meet at least every 2 weeks for dinner, drinks and girl talk till the restaurant kicks us out...this would be awesome to have!!!!
PS Love the cute little boxes.
PS Love the cute little boxes.
I haven't had a girls night out in a long time, since I have so few female friends near where I live now. The last one I really remember was college, a bachelorette party for my best friend that involved sitting at her apartment talking and eating pizza (with her soon to be husband in the other room, and with 9 month old that belonged to another bridesmaid toddling around. Exciting, huh?
Usually, a gno just has to have wine and good friends. I'm low maintenance when it comes to that.
The girls night out cards would be fabulous for our group...and if I don't win, I will definitely be checking these out for our next GNO in June.
Have fun and enjoy!
Have a wonderful time in Miami and kick up your heels for your sister:-D
Have a BLAST in South Beach, and please dance atop a bar or table or two...in the classiest way, of course.
Have fun!!
The fashion trend I loathe is seeing people's bra straps all the time!
I had a GNO last night and it was great!
My last girl's night involved our favourite martini bar, some live piano and ridiculous heels.
That game sounds like fun!
Enjoy your weekend!
I just went to an MNO last night and we did an '80's theme. You should have totally seen my side ponytail! ;-) It was RAD!
Thanks for the chance and p.s. Love you too!
I hope you are having fun in FLA - bring home some sunshine for all of us in CLE.
I hope you are well, sweetie.
And most annoying fashion trend right now ... harem pants... and from the past... harem pants!!! OMG, I actually wore them 1st time around, and tried a pair on for fun a couple of months ago...not so fun these days
The last girls weekend was this winter, when all of my female relatives when to the lake. When the youngest group showed up, we shocked them by all sitting around in our bras. (Maybe you had to be there - the look on their faces was too funny)
And you didn't ask, but the last time I was in South Beach, I was partying with some Chemical Engineers -- ah good times....
