A perfectly reasonable excuse to NOT exercise... PDF Print E-mail

The most annoying side effect of excessive exercising is the extra energy one experiences.

In the last week alone I went to one garage sale with a preschooler in tow.

The end. I was sweating bullets and crying Mercy! even before we reached the apron of the driveway.  Nevertheless, and so typical of my life, it sparked a series of fortunate events that silenced my new found abundance of energy.  For the time being.

It all started when she saw the Littlest Pet Shop toys and I saw a framed photo at the garage sale.  One week later I had three-thousand-five-hundred-eighty-nine dollars worth of toys categorized and priced to sell, an ad in the local paper for a garage sale, an organized basement that no longer resembled a day care center and a photo order placed printing out eighteen months of memories to be framed. While the Feenster did a lot of this, the older two were doing that, and I did this...

bookcase

organized my house.  Starting with the basement up and ended at photos.  I took old photos out of frames and replaced with new ones.  Photos years old, back when Miley Cyrus was still deemed innocent and Glenn Beck was still sane.

I worked my magic and paired a new generation of stiletto loving girls with an ancient generation of Lithuanian soldiers, on my husband's side.

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this spectacular most awesome J.C.Penny professional picture (that was sent to just about everyone on our American Online contact list in 1999 through the USPS mail announcing our engagement and introducing the fad of thin eyebrows, I was always the trend setter, ahem) when switching out photos.  It was in an old frame underneath two photos as a result of my past laziness.

Behold.

Please sit down.

I introduce to you, OHmommy and future-husband-to-be circa 1999.

I have no words.

Like fine wine, dear friends.  Like fine wine...

us2010

Theend.

Let's hope (for my children's future when their friends find my blog and laugh about our super awesome classy engagement photo "Haha, your mom was so hot!") I take a vacation from exercising this week because when I was on my hands and knees feverishly cleaning our master bathroom alleviating some energy today I found a roll of un-developed film marked "Pauline's 21st Birthday Bash."  And well, you know...  I haven't even started on the crawl space storage unit - who knows what I will find there.

Excuses excuses... as long as you find only photos and no film.. or as long as you find the film before your children do :) Great engagement picture !!!

OMG so funny, such a great post. You guys definitely look amazing now, and that comparison is hysterical...not that you looked bad before, but just look so good now! I love that you've already enlarged and framed 3 wedding/bridal shower pics and I still haven't printed one out, but I am still unwrapping gifts and writing TY notes, so I guess that's my excuse. Love the photos though, you guys looked awesome!

OMG is right! I have one that might make you feel better. My cowl-neck blouse in that circa-'97 photo could one-up your hubby's. And is it just me, or does your arm look freakishly long? And lastly, wen was Glenn Beck ever sane? Love it.

My goodness. You know? The current "Pauline" is much more attractive than the "Young Pauline", although I must say, you are attractive at any age. And your husband seems to have aged well, as well.

I'm pretty confident my BF owned a sweater like that. (I threw it out when we moved apartments.) However, I couldn't throw out his Hawaiian drinkin' shirt.

OMG. Here is a lesson in reading the blog post first, and then the pictures, not pictures, make up your own story, then read post. Because when I saw the word JC Penney I assumed you were talking about frames (no idea why) then I saw the picture of you and hubby, and I thought "OMG! That is one of those cheesy pictures that are in the frames that are sold in stores, and this picture frame that Pauline just bought had a picture of a couple that looks JUST like her and her hubby, only not as gorgeous!" NO JOKE. And seeing the 2 couples side by side, I was like... wow... they do look similar! So cool. THEN I read the post. And IT IS YOU GUYS! Hahaha... nice picture. Not making fun of it, I SWEAR. GOD just wait till I post my pics from that year. OMG. OMG. OMG.
