Dearest Kasia,

Sorry for everything I did to you when we were growing up1. I am no longer bitter about the yellow bikini you stole from my closet in high school. Or that you tattled on me for taking you across state-lines to see a Violent Femmes concert on a school night.  Your nose is absolutely perfect and not at all moon shaped.  You are an amazing person who I love more then words2 can say.

Which brings me to the point of this post,  if Jeff and I should so happen to die on our way to, or coming back from, our celebratory 10-year-wedding-anniversary-Mexican-vacation-at-an-adults-only-resort-without-children-for-the-first-time-in-eight-years trip we want you to be the legal guardian of all three kiddos.  They are all kinds of awesome.

goodluck

Feenie likes tuna.  Jay loves tomato soup.  Lola prefers bread with a thin spreading of un-salted organic butter.  They are gigantic cuddlers who require massive amounts of snuggles.

All the love and patience in the world,

Your sister Pauline

1.  Don't send my kids to overnight camp in Poland.  Bad news.

2.  Make them practice their "sight words" often -  a giveaway.

One of my sisters and I have a similar understanding. She gets my kids, I get hers.

"Massive amounts of snuggles" got me.

Have a wonderful trip!

I'd say that the comments count as public witnesses. We're just as good as a notary. And we're free!

When do you go? Hope you have FUN. (How could you not?)

Thanks for inspiring me to write a similar post to my two sisters. I will definitely need to also begin with a few apologies.

That Feenster just gets cuter every day. Isn't that a misdemeanor or something? No child should be that cute! :)
