The first order of Wigilia books was purchased by the Polish Museum of America.   Still can't believe that a book I wrote is inside an honest to goodness museum gift shop!  Very cool conversation starter for the upcoming holiday party scene season, no?  I promise I will stop tweeting/facebooking/talking/blogging about one of the most exciting things I have ever done, soon.

In the meantime I leave you with a super professional promotional video our PR team developed yesterday.

We are heading to Chicago, where the kids and I will be hosting a book signing this Saturday the 27th from 2 to 4 at DOMitp ("Simply the Best from Poland") 6840 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago 60634.  Not convinced you can make it?  There's a Polish deli next door.  For all those out-of-towners you can buy Wigilia: A Tale about a Polish American Family on Christmas Eve here.  And reviews of the book are hereSo much to be thankful for this year.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This is so exciting! Will it be in Barnes and Noble or other booksellers or should I buy it online? I am 1/2 Polish, but was adopted, and grew up knowing nothing about my Polish heritage (my original last name was Karwoski as well!)This is one of the reasons I enjoy your blog so much- learning little tid bits about the culture. So- I am really looking forward to learning more about my Polish culture and sharing it with my kids!

BTW- on the website for the book, it lists your last name as "Karwoska".

So proud of you!! Congrats!!!!! You are secretly motivating me. Harry and I have been writing a book for a few years now and it is high time we finish even if we only "publish" it for oursleves.

Congratulations! Very exciting for you and your family. My 2 autographed copies arrived today, 1 for my family (husband is the grandson of Polish immigrants), and 1 for my step-father, who is the son of Polish immigrants!

We were so bummed that we missed it yesterday. Do you think you'll do it again before Christmas? Maybe in the NW suburbs?
