Fridays with Feenie PDF Print E-mail

Some people spend months preparing their dog to become a therapy dog for hospitals, schools, senior citizen centers and more.

We have Feenie.

fridayfeenie

At four-years-old she's too little to understand that her grandmother has battled breast cancer three times; but, just like a therapy dog she has a pure heart that allows her to give unconditional love to those that need it most. For the past two years, Fridays have been reserved for a standing playdate with Grandma. Baking cookies just days after a hip replacement, searching for wild turkeys in the backyard after chemo treatments and painting nails after invasive hospital tests - Feenie keeps Grandma's mind and soul busy like a preschoolers.

This Friday is different. Feenie is taking her blind love to visit Grandma in the hospital and spreading her magic to make sure that there are many more Fridays with Feenie to come.

If anyone can do it, it's feenie. I'm hoping for all the beat for your mother in law!

Good thoughts being sent your way from LOVD. Feenie means more to her grandmother than she may never know right now.

Sweet, sweet girl. But then, of course she is, you raised her.

Thinking of your family and sending prayers. Feenie's visit is the best kind of medicine.
