Bob Evans Farm Festival 2011 PDF Print E-mail

Growing up as an immigrant in the United States, we could not afford to dine out as a family - it was simply unheard of and deemed wasted money. The first time I heard of "Bob Evans" was when I visited my boyfriend in Ohio during my college days. His parents (now my in-laws) treated me to breakfast one morning at a "Bob Evans" restaurant where I inhaled a dozen sausages before their eyes. Luckily for Bob Evans, I continued devouring their breakfast sausages and carried down my habit to our three children.

We love our store-bought breakfast sausage links! They have become a staple in our household.

For the past three years we've tried to make our way down to the Bob Evans Farm Festival in Ohio, on our own, to check out the history (mostly because our middle-child-picky eater survives on Bob Evans sausage links); but, this year it was unlikely that we were to attend seeing that I was in India at the time. The Bob Evans PR firm said they didn't really need me to be there but if only my kids could sample the festival. And I was sold. Bravo to a PR firm that didn't require a blogger to attend the festivities but allowed the kiddos to be the eyes and ears, documenting it all. High five!

Kuddos to my kiddos for a job well done and to Bob Evans for hosting our family.

I can't decide which line I love more, "I'm in a maze" or "here is some honey." Such cute kids! It looks like a fun festival!

I used to live in the Midwest and remember Bob Evans so fondly! Nothing like that out here in the West! Looks like the kids had a blast!

My nephew would love the ice cream scooping/eating event! He thinks the words "all-you-can-eat" should always be associated with ice cream.
