Dearest Feenie,
I kissed you for the last time as a four-year-old last night. Filled with emotion I fell to the floor just outside of your bedroom door. I listened as you sang yourself to sleep in between excited giggles. "Gonna be five. Five! Gonna be five. Five! Gonna be five, five, five in the morning!" I dream for you to always fall asleep smiling, anticipating the next day.
Today you are five. Five!
Funny. Independent. Dramatic. Witty. Loving. There is never a dull moment in our lives with you around. Everybody that gets a chance to know you, adores you.
You woke up to a ceiling full of balloons and cake for breakfast. May you always wake up smiling. I'm at a lost for words today on your fifth birthday. There's something about turning five. The icing on the cake is that you are my baby.
Happy birthday, sweet girl of mine.
Love, Mama
4th birthday, 3rd birthday, 2nd birthday, 1st birthday.
