There are so many applications online for Blackberries and iphones, making it difficult to choose what you really need on your phone.

As a busy mother of three growing children I thank the good people of Kraft for developing an application for blackberries and iphones that makes grocery shopping and menu planning so much easier.  I am no longer wandering around the aisles scratching things off of my hastily handwritten grocery list.  The application can be found here, ready to be downloaded for $0.99

ifood

I was most excited about the shopping list enhancement that allowed me to check off as I shopped.  It was so easy to shop with my blackberry in hand.  However, I was disappointed when I realized I couldn't save my list because I typically buy many of the same items each week. Another great feature was towards the end of the week, when my pantry inventory was low, I plugged in three main ingredients and dozens of easy-to-follow recipes popped up.  I will be the first to admit that I have been circulating the same recipes for weeks now, in a cooking rut.  It was great to see I had so many options with what I already had.  I also enjoyed the ability to scroll through "budget wise" recipes.  I think this would be much easier on an iphone though.  This is a great application for those concerned with budget and time.

Try it out for yourself!

Visit Kraft ifood assistant today and let me know what you would like about it.  I have TWO fifty-dollar AMEX giftcards to help you with your groceries.  TWO WINNERS!!!  Awesome, I know.  Leave me one comment per person.  Tweet/Facebook this giveaway for your second chance to enter (please leave me a second comment with url link).  Giveaway ends Jan 24, 2010.

I'm kinda excited about this P. Since I'm home and not working, I'm wanting to cook more and this is PERFECT for me. I'm happy that the app was available for BB users and, SURPRISE! it was FREE to download. Now I'm going to go geek out over recipes.

Well, I don't have a phone with those types of applications. If I did, I can imagine that it would be one more way to make life a little easier, though...

Enter me, please!

I have this ap on my iPhone and I love it. I don't cook often, but when I do I'm horrible about keeping a list when me when I shop, the app makes it so easy to find the ingredients I should purchase.

Hmmm, I'm a little skeptical about a food app built by a food giant like Kraft but I will have to check it out. I am also surprised they charge for it, it sounds like they'd get more traffic giving it away. I assume the recipes it recommends are made of products from Kraft?

I'd love to have the built in shopping list. So many times I'll get home from the store and realize I forgot one small ingredient that I absolutely MUST HAVE for a reciple.

My cell phone doesn't handle aps though. But a girl can dream, right?

I like that it has a recipe box and a shopping list so you can search for recipes the create the list to take with!

What I like most is that it's for the iPod Touch which is hubby's and that would mean he would be able to search for more great recipes... he's been doing that lately and I'm loving it!

main entry: I like the fact that it has the Store Locator feature to use, we travel in our motor home alot and that would be a great tool to use and know just where we need to go and also it offers at times speacial offers from the stores which is an added benifit to save as well.
