My son is fortunate enough to grow up in a time where there are many options for young readers.  We recently finished reading Diary of the Wimpy Kid and rewarded him with a visit to the theatre to see the movie.  Next on our list is the entire Harry Potter series and rewards of movies after completion.

Reading has become exciting for him.  I am so thankful for the authors who address young boys interests today.  My son is captivated by the first Harry Potter book, turning pages each night under a new bedside table lamp.  He loves to read.
