Welcome back to the Summer Block Party! We're talking about preserving memories here.

There are thousands of websites dedicated to photo storing.  Take a photo, upload it to your computer and deposit it onto your site-of-choice.  Picassa.  Flickr.  Shutterfly.  Etc.  But what do you do with the random "loose" photos that accumulate throughout the summer?  You know the ones.  The photo booth at the children's museum that your child drags you in and everyone makes silly faces.  The photo you order of the soccer team.

This summer I finally got around to solving that problem.  I realized that I had years of memories sprinkled about everywhere from kitchen drawers to minivan trunks.  There was no method to my madness.  Enter the accordion style file folder that has forever changed my life...

organize

Viola!  Instant organization.  We label each divider by month and slip in all of our "loose" photos as well as other memories that we are unable to part with.  I love how easy it is organize and just wish I would have caught on years ago.

Today's summer prize package, valued at $30-$40 includes coupons for the following free items: JUICY JUICE®, OVALTINE®, EDY’S®/DREYER’S®, CARNATION® Breakfast Essentials, WONKA®, STOUFFER’S®, NESQUIK®, TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Cookie Dough, TOLL HOUSE® Morsels, DRUMSTICK® Sundae Cones, NESTLÉ® Pure Life.

Leave me one comment per family (tell me how you organize your photo memories - at home or online - what's your method?) for your chance to win.  Winner of today's summer prize package will be chosen using random.org and will be announced on Friday along with the others.  Come back tomorrow for more ideas of how to preserve your summer memories.  Join the fun over at : 24/7 Moms, Cutie Booty Cakes, Momma Findings and The Not-so Blog.

I am pretty unorganized - I upload my pictures to Picasa and Facebook. It's been many months since I have printed pictures and even longer since I have scrapbooked. I need a weekend away!!!

My oldest daughter (who is 28) and my husband are the ones that take (using a digital camera) and organize the photos in/for our family.

On the computer we have seperate folders for the pictures that are labeled by year or season. At home my pictures are scattered everywhere, in drawers, on the fridge, etc...I am fairly unorganized.

We have several black frames over our fireplace in different styles and sizes. Every three-six months we choose our favorite photos fromm the season before and add them to the frames. The previous shots get moved to a folder so I have all of our favorites in one place in chronological order.

Method? Sadly wish I was better. I did spend most of last December creating albums for each child of the year before from our shutterfly photos. Sadly, I did have to upload some that never got put on shutterfly and went back to create previous years! BUT, I also added captions that replace a "baby book" in regards to details on their life. "Benji LOVED this monkey toy" yadda yadda yadda

I'm loving Flickr. I don't really have a method or so, but organize them by tags, events and it works for me.

I have just recently started going through ours and loading them onto computer. Right now everything is in albums, boxes or on disks.

I order photos once a month or so, using the cheapest deal I can find. I have a ton of photo albums, and we love to look through them! Of course, the digital copies are stored on the computer (but sadly, not very organized)

You are supposed to organize photos? I need some help in this area. I haven't printed digital photos in years, and they are just files by dates, not organized by themes or anything.

To help me keep all my photos organized I make sure to download at least once a month into a new folder marked with the date and year. This way I always know when my photos were taken.

Most of our photos are stored on the computer. Some we print up and put in an album. I use to do scrapbooking, but fell behind. Thanks!

Oh how I wish I was more organized! I have a file folder on my computer, boxes and boxes and photo albums everywhere. My dream is to find time to organize everything...hopefully that day will come soon.
